This paper begins with a brief discussion of Africa’s place in India and South Africa’s respective foreign policies and relations between the two countries. It then explores the concept of trilateral cooperation. A key element of this discussion is the concept of South- South cooperation, which has grown in prominence in the last few years, but the meaning of which has taken on different forms. The paper then explores the potential for collaboration between the two countries in Africa and some of the possible pitfalls.
