Trilateral development cooperation: an emerging trend

Abstract: As overseas aid has traditionally been directed from the rich to the poorer countries through well-established mechanisms, the route of trilateral development cooperation is a relatively new format in the international development landscape. This paper details the changes in approaches to development cooperation and the use of trilateral cooperation where aid is channelled through institutions in the third world for its application in developing countries.
